Pedestrian Struck & Trapped Under Car In Studio City

Studio City, CA (November 21, 2023) A pedestrian was seriously injured on Monday evening, November 20th, after being hit by a car and then trapped under it, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The accident happened on the 11000 block of Moorpark Street, between the Hollywood (101) Freeeway and Vineland Avenue at approximately 7:15 p.m.

The Los Angeles Fire Department arrived at the scene along with the Los Angeles Police Department, to find a man trapped beneath a vehicle. Fire fighters used tools to free the man from beneath the vehicle. He was then loaded into an ambulance and taken to a local hospital with serious injuries, according to Margaret Stewart, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson.

Following initial investigations, authorities reported that the man was crossing the street when he was struck by a vehicle on Moorpark Street. The condition of the pedestrian is unknown at this time.

The driver of the vehicle that was involved remained at the scene and cooperated with police officers. The Los Angeles Police Department is leading the investigation for this Sudio City accident on Moorpark Street. They searched the scene for evidence and hope to determine what exactly happened to cause this pedestrian to be hit and then trapped under a vehicle.
