Las Vegas, NV (October 28, 2024) 68-year-old Raul Moran-Castillo was struck by a vehicle in Las Vegas on Sunday night, October 27th, 2024. The accident left Moran-Castillo with life-threatening injuries, according to reports. It happened at the intersection of Twain Avenue and Decatur Boulevard, near Spring Valley. The driver was suspected of DUI, officers reported.
It was 9:30 p.m. in Las Vegas as 68-year-old Raul Moran-Castillo began crossing the street at the intersection of Twain Avenue and Decatur Boulevard. Reports indicated that he was walking outside of a designated crosswalk, as a mid-sized vehicle approached the intersection. Reports indicated that the driver slammed on the brakes in an attempt to stop, but was unsuccessful and struck Moran-Castillo. The force threw the pedestrian to the ground, where he laid with life-threatening injuries.

When officials arrived at the scene they found the driver of the vehicles, 60-year-old Janet Coleman intoxicated. Officers arrested her at the scene and she faces DUI charges. Paramedics rushed Moran Castillo to the nearest hospital to receive emergency treatment. He remains in critical condition.
