Rancho Cucamonga, CA (March 13, 2024) 67-year-old Robert Goodlander was struck and killed on Saturday night, March 9th, while walking in Rancho Cucamonga. He was struck just after 9:30 p.m. on Baseline Road, near Archibald Avenue, officers reported.
Darkness had already fallen as Goodlander walked along Baseline Road under the glow of streetlights. As he walked, a vehicle approached him and suddenly struck him in the 9600 block of Baseline Road. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department arrived at the scene and found Goodlander lying on the ground with life-threatening injuries. Paramedics rushed to his side and began giving him life-saving treatments. He was rushed to San Antonio Regional Medical Center, but sadly, he later succumbed to his injuries. He was pronounced dead at the hospital just before 10:30 p.m.
