Robert Joseph Morris, Jr. Struck, Killed In San Bernardino

Pedestrian killed in Oakland hit-and-run.

San Bernardino, CA (March 15, 2024) Tragedy struck the community of San Bernardino on March 8th when a pedestrian was killed by a vehicle. 51-year-old Robert Joseph Morris, Jr. was walking along W. 16th Street when he was fatally struck by a vehicle just before 7:00 p.m.

Morris, Jr. was walking one March evening in San Bernardino, just west of E Street, when he was suddenly struck by a vehicle, according to officers. The force threw him onto the ground, where he remained with life-threatening injuries.

The San Bernardino Police Department arrived at the scene and found the man with serious injuries. Paramedics rushed to help him and quickly loaded him into an ambulance and rushed him to Loma Linda University Medical Center to receive treatment. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital at approximately 7:43 p.m.

Officers are investigating this deadly pedestrian collision in San Bernardino to try and determine what caused this accident. There has been no word as to whether or not the driver remained at the scene following this fatal accident.
