Fresno, CA (July 29, 2023) A man in his 20s rode his skateboard across the roadway around 7:20 p.m. on Friday and was hit by a car. California Highway Patrol said the driver was going through a green light in the area of Highway 43 and Conejo Avenue when he hit the skateboarder.

The driver of the vehicle involved pulled over immediately after the accident and cooperated with authorities. The skateboarder died from injuries sustained in the collision.
