Warner Springs, CA (July 31, 2023) A 16-year-old male was skateboarding northbound in the southbound lane on State Route 79 when he was hit by a vehicle. California Highway Patrol said the accident occurred around 8:05 p.m.

A 70-year-old man, driving a Mitsubishi, southbound on SR-79, wasn’t able to stop when he saw the skateboarder.
The teenager was sent to Inland Valley Hospital where he died from his injuries.
