Westlake, Los Angeles, CA (April 19, 2024) The community of Westlake was left in disbelief after news spread of three pedestrians being struck by a vehicle. All three pedestrians sustained critical injuries in the accident, officers said. The collision took place at 11:00 p.m. on South Alvarado Street, across from MacArthur Park.
Three people were walking in the Westlake neighborhood of Los Angeles on Thursday night. They stepped into the road, to cross the street in the 500 block of South Alvarado Street. As they crossed, a sedan approached and, without warning, struck all three pedestrians.
Police officers and paramedics quickly arrived at the scene and found the three pedestrians lying in the road. All three had sustained critical injuries in the accident, according to reports. Paramedics carefully placed all three victims on gurneys and loaded them into ambulances. They were all rushed to a local hospital to receive treatment for injuries they sustained in the accident.
The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and cooperated with police officers during their investigation. This investigation is being led by the Los Angeles Police Department. A photo of the scene shows jackets and belongings that the Pedestrians were carrying at the time of the accident. They were all left behind as the three were rushed to receive medical treatment.
