Fresno, CA (November 12, 2024) A tragic accident occurred on the streets of Fresno on Saturday, November 9th, 2024. Wendy Coffman, 60, from Fresno, was crossing a street in a wheelchair when she was struck by a vehicle in Southeast Fresno. The driver of the vehicle didn’t stop after hitting Coffman, but instead,continued heading north.
The collision took place on Clovis Avenue, not far from Inyo Street, according to reports.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and rushed Coffman to a local hospital to receive treatment for life-threatening injuries. The medical staff did everything they could but Coffman’s injuries were too severe and she passed away. Sadly, Wendy Coffman was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Detectives are determined to find the vehicle responsible and bring the driver to justice!
