Mountain House, CA (November 2, 2023) A 41-year-old woman tragically lost her life on Halloween evening while walking through a California neighborhood. According to the California Highway Patrol, the woman was struck by a vehicle backing out of a driveway around 7:15 p.m.

The accident happened in front of 214 East Koshiba Place in Mountain House, California, according to authorities. The 41-year-old woman was walking down Koshiba Place and as she passed the private driveway of house number 214. A Ford SUV was parked in the driveway, occupied by a 47-year-old man. The man began backing out of the driveway as the woman was walking past, which led to him hitting her with his SUV. After hitting the woman, the driver then crashed into the neighbor’s garage door.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and paramedics were ready to help the injured, but they sadly found the woman unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
