Woman Killed In Las Vegas Hit-And-Run While Crossing Nellis Boulevard

Las Vegas, Nevada (February 16, 2024) Shack and dismay swept through the east Las Vegas valley Thursday evening following a hit-and-run accident that left a pedestrian dead. The fatal accident took place just before 8:20 p.m. on Nellis Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle at fault fled the scene, leaving the woman with life-threatening injuries, officers shared.

A woman was attempting to cross the street in the 4500 block of South Nellis Boulveard on Thursday, February 14th. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that the woman crossed the street in an area that did not have a designated crosswalk. A vehicle was driving down the road as she crossed and struck her in the middle of the road. However, the vehicle did not stop after hitting the pedestrian, but instead, hit the gas and fled the scene.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene near Harmon Avenue and found the woman lying in the middle of the roadway with fatal injuries. Although paramedics were ready to use life-saving measures to save the woman, there was nothing they could do. With heavy hearts, they pronounced her dead at the scene, right there on South Nellis Boulevard.

Police officers are determined to identify and find the person responsible for this fatal accident and bring them to justice. Evidence was gathered at the scene and authorities are diligently investigating this deadly collision. Anyone who has information regarding this collision should contact the police.
