Woman Struck, Killed By Intoxicated Driver In Fairfield

Fairfield, CA (October 10, 2024) A tragic accident occurred in Fairfield on October 2nd, 2024, claiming a woman’s life. The woman was struck and killed by a truck while crossing the street. It happened around 11:00 p.m. at the intersection of Kidder Avenue and East Travis Boulevard, according to reports.

The sun had set hours ago as a female pedestrian made her way across a street in Fairfield. As she crossed, a truck approached the intersection of Kidder Avenue and East Travis Boulevard, heading west. As the vehicle drove through the intersection, it struck the pedestrian, knocking the woman to the ground.

Officers arrived at the scene just after 11:00 p.m. and found the woman on the ground. They began performing life-saving measures on the victim, but there was nothing they could do. With heavy hearts, they pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Officers found the driver of the truck, 44-year-old Angelica Madina from Suisun City, to be under the influence of drugs. She was placed under arrested and faces several charges.

Investigators are working to determine what exactly happened to cause this deadly collision in Fairfield. They are asking that witnesses come forward to help them with this case.
