Antelope, CA (October 8, 2024) A collision between a garbage truck and another vehicle left a woman with serious injuries in Antelope. The chaotic accident occurred at the intersection of Black Bear Drive and Antelope Road on Monday morning, October 7th. It happened just before 8:30 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
At approximately 8:27 a.m. on Monday, October 7th, 2024, a woman was driving a vehicle through Antelope, approaching the intersection of Black Bear Drive and Antelope Road. As she went through the intersection, a garbage truck was also heading through the intersection, causing the two vehicles to collide. The vehicles not only blocked the intersection, but debris also covered the roadway, causing traffic issues in the area.
The California Highway Patrol arrived at the scene and found the woman driving the vehicle with serious injuries. They requested an ambulance and paramedics arrived at the scene. The woman was rushed to a local hospital, via ground ambulance, to receive emergency treatment. There is no word as to whether or not the driver of the garbage truck was injured in this collision.
