SAN PEDRO, CA (December 8, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a garbage truck in San Pedro.

The accident occurred the morning of December 5 around 5:10 a.m. when a local man in his 70s was found on Pacific Avenue and 13th Street.
LAPD officers say the truck drivers stayed on the scene and cooperated with their investigation.
Drugs and alcohol are not currently considered to be factors in this collision, which occurred while the elderly man was in a marked crosswalk.
