Semi-Truck Driver Killed By Another Semi On Hwy. 99

Multi-vehicle crash caused by semi injures 4 on Highway 41 in Madera.

Madera County, CA (July 26, 2024) California Highway Patrol has reported that the driver of a semi-truck was killed while standing outside of his vehicle on Highway 99 and Avenue 7.

The crash occurred at about 12:15 p.m. The semi-truck was pulled over on the right shoulder of the highway, and traffic was heavy. The driver of the vehicle, a 51-year-old man, was apparently working on his truck for unknown reasons.

Another semi-truck then veered to the right and slammed into the left rear of the stopped truck. At the time of writing, it’s unclear why the driver of this semi suddenly veered over.

The driver of the truck that slammed into the disabled semi was not injured, but tragically, the man who was pulled over was pronounced dead at the scene.

No details about the aftermath of the crash have been provided.
