Fresno, CA (September 22, 2023) A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle and injured on Wednesday evening. The California Highway Patrol said that the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, but later returned.

It happened near Kings Canyon and Clovis in Fresno. The California Highway Patrol was called to the scene on Wednesday evening to find that a bicyclist had been struck by a vehicle. The driver of the car had fled the scene following the accident.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and transported the bicyclist to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries, but they are expected to make a full recovery.
The driver who fled, eventually returned to the scene. Officers do not believe drugs and alcohol were a factor in this collision, but it remains under investigation.
