Anthony Quinones Killed In Motorcycle Collision In South Whittier

Motorcyclist killed in Northridge hit-and-run.

South Whittier, CA (April 25, 2024) A fatal collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle occurred on Tuesday night, April 23rd. 24-year-old  Hesperia resident, Anthony Quinones, was killed in this accident, according to reports. It happened at approximately 11:23 p.m. on Mills Road at the intersection of Reis Street, in South Whittier.

Late night in South Whittier found motorists heading along Mills Road, guided by headlights. Quinones was riding his motorcycle south on Mills Road, when for reasons unknown, his motorcycle collided with a gray Infiniti in the intersection at Reis Street. Quinones was thrown from his motorcycle and landed, hard, in the middle of the road.

Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and found Quinones on the ground, his motorcycle was smashed and laid several feet from him. Paramedics rushed to give life-saving treatment, but Quinones had been killed in the accident. With heavy hearts, they pronounced the 24-year-old motorcyclist dead at the scene and called the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner to the scene.

The Infiniti had sustained moderate damage in the collision and had to be towed from the scene. The damaged motorcycle was also hauled away by a tow truck, officers indicated. The driver of the Infiniti was uninjured in the collision and cooperated with authorities during their investigation.

Officers gathered evidence from the scene and took a statement from the driver of the Infiniti. They are determined to figure out what happened at this South Whittier intersection and who was at fault. Crews had to clean debris from the roadway and traffic was diverted away from the intersection for a few hours, reports indicated.
