DUI Crash Injured Two In Central Las Vegas

Las Vegas, NV (September 18, 2024) Darkness had settled over Central Las Vegas on Tuesday night as an intoxicated driver hit two pedestrians and then slammed into another vehicle, head-on. The accident occurred at the intersection of Arville Street and Spring Mountain Road, around 8:50 p.m.

Officers reported that a black SUV suddenly hit two pedestrians and then crashed, head-on, into a white SUV at the intersection of Arville Street and Spring Mountain Road. The two pedestrians were knocked the ground, both suffering from injuries, and the two vehicles sat in the middle of the roadway with damage. Debris and glass littered the roadway, reports indicated.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground. They were both taken to a nearby hospital to receive emergency treatment, officers reported. It was determined that the driver of the black SUV had been driving while under the influence at the time of the accident. Tow trucks were called to the scene and crews worked as quickly as they could to remove the glass and debris from the roadway.
