FREMONT, CA (May 23, 2022) – A 7-year-old was tragically killed Friday afternoon after being struck by a vehicle on Montrose Avenue, according to ABC 7.
The accident occurred 3:45 p.m. in the Irvington District. It is unknown whether the child was supervised, and whether the child was on the road or the sidewalk.
The driver did stop and cooperate with the police when they arrived.
Officers and emergency medical personnel treated the child at the scene and transported the child to the hospital, where he or she unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.
Police diverted traffic from the area for several hours as traffic investigators took over the investigation of the accident.
