Baldwin Village, Las Angeles, CA (January 18, 2024) Kevin Sezar, a 59-year-old bicyclist, lost his life in a hit-and-run accident near Baldwin Village in Los Angeles. The fatal collision happened on Crenshaw Boulevard right around 7:30 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
It all happened on Wednesday, January 17th, south of Stocker Street, when Sezar was crossing eastbound Crenshaw Boulevard. As he crossed, a vehicle was driving north on Crenshaw and hit Sezar. In a sad turn of events, he was then struck by a second vehicle, who was traveling at a high rate of speed, police officers said.

The driver of the first vehicle stopped and rushed to help Sezar. The second driver, however, didn’t even slow down. The first driver waited for police officers to arrive and was very cooperative with their investigation. Paramedics arrived and, unfortunately, had to pronounce Sezar dead at the scene.
The city is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for any information that leads to identifying the suspect or that leads to the suspects arrest and conviction. Officers said they are looking for a sedan that struck the bicyclist and then fled the scene.
