LAS LOMAS, CA (April 19, 2022) – A car accident involving three vehicles resulted in a truck flipping over on Elkhorn Road.
California Highway Patrol officer Chris Weaver said that the Las Lomas car accident occured when a woman driving a Mini Cooper heading south on Elkhorn Road collided with a Ford pickup carrying two men as it turned onto Werner Avenue around 8:45 a.m.
The force of the Mini Cooper was powerful enough to flip the Ford truck onto its side, which then crashed into a Chevy van with a male driver that was stopped on Werner Avenue.
North Monterey County firefighters were able to free the two men trapped in the Ford pickup truck. Despite the terrible damage to the vehicles in the accident, all who were involved sustained only minor injuries. The accident did cause an additional hour of traffic delay and is still under investigation.
