LONG BEACH, CA (June 6, 2022) – Bryan Tostado, a 25-year-old from Norwalk, was arrested after a collision with a big rig that killed its driver according to Long Beach Press-Telegram.
The California Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred around 1:10 a.m. on the 91 freeway near Susana Road.
Tostado was driving a 2004 Toyota at high speeds when he struck a center median and caused him to rear-end a 2022 Freightliner. The big rig truck was being driven by a 57-year-old Santa Ana man who lost control of the vehicle as a result of the collision. The truck driver veered off the roadway and was later pronounced dead at the scene.
Bryan Tostado was later taken to Dignity Health-St. Mary Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, and was arrested after his release. There is no information regarding the charges for the arrest at this time.
The victim’s identity in this case is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
