Moreno Valley, CA (February 6, 2024) A devastating accident rattled the community of Moreno Valley on Monday night. 25-year-old Isaac Piza of San Bernardino and 50-year-old Keiana Bridgeforth of Menifee both lost their lives in a three-vehicle collision, according to authorities.

It was a dark and rainy night in Moreno Valley as two Dodge Ram pickup trucks and a Lexus sedan approached the intersection of Kitching Street and Cactus Avenue. At 10:30 p.m. the three vehicles collided in the intersection as rain poured from the sky. One of the Dodge pickups slid into a flood channel near Cactus Avenue, following the collision. Piza was thrown from the pickup and landed in the flood channel, officers reported. He was carried downstream by storm waters until his body was recovered in Perris.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department hurried to the scene and first found the Lexus. They rushed to the driver’s side window, where they found Bridgeforth, unresponsive. She was, sadly, pronounced dead at the scene.

Sgt. Marcos Acosta told City News Service that two good Samaritans at the scene hurried to help one of the victims. The passenger in the Dodge pickup that Piza occupied, was found inside the vehicle. The good Samaritans managed to get them out of the vehicle and away from danger. The victim was injured, but none of the injuries were life-threatening, Acosta said.

Meanwhile, Piza continued to float south until his body was recovered by firefighters near Ramona Expressway and Evans Road in Perris. At this time, emergency personnel are unsure if he was killed in the actual collision of if he drowned.

Officers are investigating this devastating collision to determine what caused it and who was actually at fault. We at Accident News Now extend heartfelt sympathies to the families of Isaac Piza and Keiana Bridgeforth during this time of grief.
