Officer Injured & Diego Vera Roblero Arrested In Nashville

Two injured and one arrested in South Lake Tahoe collision.

Nashville, TN (December 8, 2023) An officer was injured in Nashville when his patrol car was struck by a work van, driven by Diego Vera Roblero. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department released an affidavit that states the officer-involved crash occurred on Harding Place near Metroplex Drive.

Police officers with the MNPD arrived at the scene to discover that Roblero had run away. After searching the area for a while, they finally found him at a gas station. Officers said Roblero tried to run again when he noticed the police officers, but after a short chase, he was apprehended.

The affidavit states that officers could smell alcohol on Roblero’s breath and that his eyes were “bloodshot, glassy and watery.” They also said that his speech was slurred and he was unsteady on his feet. They also found a drug pipe in his pocket when they searched him, officers said.

Following a records check, officers learned that Roblero did not have a valid drivers liceense or vehicle insurance. Diego Vera Roblero was arrested on the spot and, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office, he has been sent to ICE.

The police officer who was involved in the collision with Roblero’s work van, was taken to Saint Thomas Midtown Hsopital for non-life-threatening injuries.
