Santa Barbara, CA (September 1, 2023) A young male was suspected of DUI on Wednesday evening near Santa Barbara City College. The collision occurred around 8:30 p.m, according to the Santa Barbara Police Department.

The police department received a phone call from a neighbor on Ocean Avenue who said a male, driving a gray Toyota Tacoma, backed into a wooden fence at least twice. They reported that he appeared to be “very intoxicated” and that he was trying to back up in a “really tight driveway.”
The Santa Barbara Police Department arrived and had the suspect take a breathalyzer test. After the results, they arrested the the driver for suspected DUI and searched the Toyota.
