The accident took place at a bus stop near the Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. The man was standing at the bus stop just before 5:00 p.m. when the vehicle lost control and hit him.
The man was waiting at the intersection of Park Residio Bypass and Fulton Street at the designated bus stop. A red Nissan came down the road and suddenly veered towards the sidewalk. It went up and over the sidewalk where it slammed into a street sign, knocking it over, and hit the pedestrian near the bus stop.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the man lying on the ground with serious injuries. Paramedics transported him to a local hospital via ambulance with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.
