San Diego, CA (January 11, 2024) A 45-year-old man was struck and seriously injured while walking in the Ridgeview/Webster neighborhood in San Diego on Wednesday night. The hit-and-run accident took place on Euclid Avenue shortly after 8:30 p.m., according to San Diego Police Department Officer John Buttle.

Officers reported that the pedestrian walked east, across 1600 Euclid Avenue, even though signs told him not to cross. As he crossed the street on foot, a white vehicle was heading south on Euclid Avenue. The vehicle struck the pedestrian and then, instead of stopping, the driver hit the gas and fled the scene. The pedestrian was left alone and injured in the roadway.
