Lancaster, CA (September 10, 2024) A pedestrian’s life was tragically cut short in Lancaster on Monday, September 9 when they were struck by a red four-door sedan. Los Angeles County officers and paramedics responded to the scene at the intersection of Avenue I and Third Street East at about 10:30 p.m. last night. They found the pedestrian west of the intersection with critical injuries.
Witnesses told authorities that they saw the red car hit the victim and flee the scene. As of the latest reports, it’s not known if the driver was impaired or if they have been found.
An investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to call the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station.
The victim was identified as 48-year-old Guillermina Valencia.
