Dinuba, CA (September 23, 2023) A man was killed and a child injured on Friday afternoon after they were hit by a car in Dinuba. The accident occurred near an elementary school around noon, according to Dinuba Police.

It all happened just down the street from Jefferson Elementary School on Crawford Avenue and Terrace Drive. Dinuba police said the man was walking home with a girl he had just picked up from school when they were both hit by a vehicle.
The girl was taken to a local hospital but is expected to make a full recovery. The man, however, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver pulled over and cooperated with police officers. The Dinuba Police Department doesn’t think drugs or alcohol were a factor in this collision.
