Woodland, CA (November 21, 2023) A pedestrian lost their life on Tuesday when they were struck and killed by a vehicle in Woodland, according to the California Highway Patrol. The fatal crash occurred right around 5:00 a.m. near State Route 113/East Street and Main Street. The driver fled the scene following the fatal collision.
The California Patrol said the vehicle was driving south on State Route 113/East Street, heading towards the Main Street transition ramp when the pedestrian was struck. The driver then continued driving, leaving the scene, as well as the pedestrian behind.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian on the ground. Paramedics were prepared to use life saving measures on the pedestrian, but sadly, he was already deceased. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. The name of the pedestrian is being withheld until the next of kin has been notified.
The California Highway Patrol doesn’t have clear information on the vehicle that hit the pedestrian and is asking anyone with information to call them at 530-702-6250.
