SAN DIEGO, CA (June 3, 2022) – A pedestrian identified as a 27-year-old Colorado man was killed on State Route 94 after colliding with a vehicle Monday morning according to the San Diego Tribune.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on the eastbound side of SR 94 or the MLK Jr. Freeway.
The driver, who was in a Volkswagen sedan, contacted the CHP after striking the pedestrian with their vehicle. Officers discovered the body of the decedent on the far right lane of freeway. Investigators say that a Tesla Model 3 also struck the man on the freeway.
As the accident is still under investigation, it is unclear why the pedestrian was on the freeway.
