Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Coyote Double Hit-And-Run

A male pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver in Lake Balboa.

Coyote, CA (March 14, 2024) Shock and sadness swept through the town of Coyote on Thursday morning as people learned about a pedestrian’s death. The man was struck by not one, but two vehicles that both fled the scene, according to officers. This tragic accident occurred just after 6:00 a.m. at the intersection of Live Oak Avenue and Hale Avenue.

The California Highway Patrol reported that the man was hit by the first vehicle, which fled the scene. As he laid on the ground, injured, another vehicle came and ran over him. They, too, didn’t stop but instead, continued driving.

Paramedics arrived at the scene and rushed to the man’s side, ready to give life-saving measures. Unfortunately, his injuries were too severe and he was pronounced dead at the scene, according to emergency medical personnel.

Officers searched the scene for evidence and are determined to figure out what two vehicles struck the pedestrian. In doing so, they also hope to find the drivers and bring them both to justice.
