Riverside, CA (April 29, 2024) Sadness swept through Jurupa Valley on Sunday as news spread of a pedestrian killed in a collision. It was just after 11:00 a.m. on April 28th when a vehicle hit a pedestrian in the intersection of Troth Street and Jurupa Road, deputies reported. Unfortunately, the pedestrian sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
It was 11:08 a.m. on Sunday, April 28th, as a pedestrian neared the intersection of Troth Street and Jurupa Road. The entire accident is mystery right now, as deputies try to put all of the pieces together. They received a call about a pedestrian being hit near the intersection. They arrived at the scene and found the pedestrian lying on the ground. Officers reported that the pedestrian was still alive, but was suffering from life-threatening injuries. Paramedics did everything they could, but the pedestrian took their last breath near the Riverside intersection with emergency personnel at their side. With heavy hearts, officials pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department said they aren’t really sure what exactly happened at this Riverside intersection. They called for a coroner and gathered as much evidence as they could at the scene, as well as taking statements from witnesses and those involved.
