Las Vegas, NV (September 4, 2024) One person sustained life-threatening injuries in a collision with a semi-truck in Las Vegas on Tuesday, September 3rd. The accident occurred at the intersection of Colton Avenue and Lamb Boulevard, not far from Las Vegas Boulevard. It happened just after 6:00 p.m. and caused traffic issues in the area.
A sedan was approaching the intersection of Colton Avneue and Lamb Boulevard in Las Vegas on Tuesday evening. At the same time, a semi-truck was also approaching the same intersection. For reasons that remain unknown, the two vehicles collided at the intersection. The impact left the sedan with major damage and sent debris and glass flying all over the roadway.
The scene was quickly covered with emergency vehicles. Paramedics found the driver of the sedan with life-threatening injures and rushed them to a nearby hospital to receive treatment. They remain in critical condition, officers reported. The driver of the semi-truck did not seem to be injured, following the collision.
Officers took statements from witnesses, as well as the semi-truck driver and they do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in this accident. They are working to determine what exactly did happen at that Las Vegas intersection, as well as who was responsible for this accident. Officers closed Lamb Boulevard in both directions during their investigation.
